Danload 6000 protocol emulation in MARC products
DANLOAD 6000 protocol is now available as a standard configuration option on the MARC™ Omnii-Comm™. Now you can use the Omnii-Comm™ to connect Danload 6000 Electronic Presets to your PLC or Host Computer.
You can connect the Danload 6000 to ANY master protocol supported by the Omnii-Comm. This includes Allen-Bradley, Modbus, Reliance, Square D and Omron protocols.
The concept is very simple. You first define two areas of PLC memory. One that will contain "Command Data" and one that will contain "Command Trigger Bits"
Then you fill in the information to be used for the Command in the Command Data area and set the "Command Trigger" bit.
The Omnii-Comm continuously monitors the Command Data and Command Trigger data areas. When a trigger bit is detected, the appropriate command is built up using the command data words and sent to the Danload 6000 network. If an answer is received, the Omnii-Comm will transfer it to the user specified write data location.
You can also configure the Omnii-Comm to continuously read information from the Danload 6000. The Omnii-Comm supports the following DANLOAD 6000 function codes:
